Body: Black tying thread as a base for wing.
Wing: Red squirrel tail, tied flat over the body, extending slightly beyond the bend. For a better floating fly.
Hackle: Four to six stiff brown hackles. We suggest tying the hackles with the concave sides facing one another, the rear two or three facing forward and the front facing back.
Head: Black.
